Is it a ribbon? It looks almost like a ribbon.
I really love how you captured this, your camera picked up on so much of the fine, fine detail and it's incredible. It really opens up a whole other world and the color generally maintains throughout the shot, which is especially pleasant.
There is that left side that gets washed away with white, however I think it helps to work the piece, as if it's like reflections on water or paleness over skin etc. It has a wispy, almost ghost-like feeling to it, but in a really beautiful and floaty delicate kind of way. The black background especially makes it pop.
I could really see this fabric being shaped into a little rose =]
