After the Rain

This is a really ingenious thought. I never would have thought to take a picture like this, but I'm so happy that you did.

The title actually reminds me of a song I love, 'After the Storm' by Mumford & Sons [which I switched to listening to now XD]
This photo also reminds me of a, oh gosh I'm going there, House MD episode. I don't remember if you ever said you watched it too, but it reminds me of the season 6 premiere episodes, in which House is in a psychiatric hospital called Mayfield and there's this one other awesome character [among many] who thinks he's a superhero. And they bust out for a day and go to a festival thingy, and as they're heading into the parking garage, the character - Freedom Master - decides he can fly and jumps off the side of it. In the next scene, in a hospital somewhere, House is holding onto his jacket, which has drops of blood on it and well, my point IS, this absolutely reminds me of it.

I guess it mentally took me back to remembering watching that, but even more, it's just a fabulous detail, it's like story without a start or an end, just a small, tiny glimpse into the middle.

I love the lighting, I love how it reflects on the material, I love the fine dots of it, the colors, the way it goes so well together. I love that it looks like the base of a jacket, more than a sleeve [though I keep initially thinking it's a sleeve] and I love the water, I love how it's hugging the jacket, how it's trying to hold on, trying to stay in one place, instead of escaping into a whole other realm... It's a really profound shot, really something to not just look at, but look and think and feel, almost like, connect with, on a certain level... And not everything does that, which just makes this a lot more special.
